How to make sure you’re offering the right salary when you offer a job.

Offering a low or uncompetitive salary, to the best candidate you can find to hire, is short sighted.

Whilst a candidate may still accept a job that pays less than they feel they are worth, that doesn’t mean that they will necessarily cancel other interviews or stop looking for other ‘better’ jobs. You risk them starting their new job with you feeling slightly disgruntled or undervalued.

CV template

We thought it might help you if we pulled together a basic template you could copy and use for your CV. Whilst most people will tell you the CV must be on 2 pages, we believe 2-3 is acceptable. More than 3 is too much! 

Use a professional font and make sure you not only spell check the CV before you send it out - but ask a friend to read it too.

How to approach a psychometric test

 

Psychometric tests are often used as a way to explore a candidate in more detail than a CV or initial interview will reveal - and companies are incorporating them into their recruitment process more frequently. The test is usually taken online and on completion generates a report that will give a hiring manager a better feel for an applicant’s personality, skills and drivers.

Having taken many myself, my experience is that they are incredibly accurate.
